Thanks so much for auditioning for SKETCH CITY! We're looking for 6, 10–14-year-olds who are funny, fearless, and genuinely themselves on camera. This audition has two parts - please read everything below before you hit record!
A few ground rules before you start:• We want to see your first instinct, not your most polished version. Please always include your first take, happy to watch other takes as you play with your performance• Have fun with it! We'd rather see a big, weird choice than a safe one.
Pick any TWO of the questions below and answer them on camera. Keep each answer under 60 seconds. Look at the camera like you're talking to a friend.1. Tell us your favourite joke.2. Do an impression of a character or celebrity.3. Use an object near you and give us a 30-second commercial for it.4. Tell us about a funny or awkward thing that's happened to you.5. What's something that always makes you laugh, and why?6. What's the funniest thing you've seen on the internet? Why is it funny?

This one's a Mad Lib! Start by picking the following 7 words.
1. A person's name, real or imagined2. A place, real or imagined3. A silly nickname4. An animal5. A weird sound6. A type of food7. A body movement
Now imagine you’re a new student introducing yourself to your classmates. Perform the script below, filling in your words wherever you see the numbers. Anywhere it says “demonstrate,” actually act it out; don't just say it!
“Hi, my name is [YOUR REAL NAME], but I wish my name was <1>.I just transferred here from <2>, where I was known as <3> — because I walk like a <4>. Don't believe me? Check this out: [demonstrate]When I get nervous, I make this sound <5>, and my face looks like this: [demonstrate]One thing you should know about me: I'm allergic to <6>. When I eat it, my body goes like this: [demonstrate <7>].So… that's me. If you ever see me making this sound <5> while doing this <7>, just know it means I'm either nervous, or I've spotted a <4> eating a <6> — or honestly, both. Oh no! There’s one now — <5><7><5><7><5><7><5><7>!!!!
• Take 1 — your very first read, words chosen and performed within a couple minutes, no rewrites.• Take 2 — a revised version, changing anything you'd like.• Before or after Take 2, tell us in one sentence what you changed and why (this can be on camera).
